Innovation in healthcare isn't just about building great tools; it’s about making sure they actually reach the people who need them. The Chino.io team was in Brussels for a high-stakes meeting of the ASCERTAIN consortium.
As we enter the final phase of this Horizon Europe project, the energy was palpable. It was a crucial moment to reconnect with our partners and align on the final stretch. But the real highlight? Day 2.
Testing the "Policy Support Tool" with the real world
We didn’t just talk among ourselves. We welcomed a diverse group of external stakeholders—the people who actually make the decisions on pricing, cost-effectiveness, and reimbursement.
We ran through interactive scenarios, putting our models and the Policy Support Tool to the test. It was an incredible exercise in seeing how complex healthcare decisions are made when you bring all the variables together.
Getting the "Legal Part" right
For Chino.io, this was more than just a networking event. It was an opportunity to gather direct feedback on the legal and data governance frameworks we’ve been building.
Over the next 6-8 months, we’ll be refining the legal aspects of the project based on this input. Why? Because a policy tool is only as good as the trust it inspires. We are ensuring that the legal foundations—privacy, ethics, and compliance—don't just exist on paper, but actively support the decision-making process for new medicines and technologies.
What happens next
The final phase is almost here. We are taking the feedback from Brussels and turning it into a concrete, compliant reality. We are moving from theory to a system that helps make healthcare more affordable and sustainable across Europe.
A huge thanks to the ASCERTAIN partners and the stakeholders who challenged us with their perspectives.
